Crawford University churns out 230 graduates

Crawford University owned by The Apostolic Faith in Igbesa Ogun State is set to graduate about 230 first degree students at its 9th convocation ceremony slated for December 13, 2017.

Addressing journalists at a press briefing to kick start activities marking the 9th convocation, Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof Isaac Ajayi said the convocation is another significant milestone in the journey of the University towards the fulfillment of its sacred mandate of producing balanced and well rounded graduates.

He added that such graduates must be imbued with academic and moral excellence, self-confidence, inventive dynamism and creativity, graduates who can generate for themselves and the society in general, meaningful solutions to the myriads of challenges confronting humanity especially in the 21st century.

“This University is remains irrevocably committed to the pursuit of the mandate as formulated by kits founding fathers.”, he said.

Giving the breakdown of the graduands, Prof Ajayi said 78 are coming from the College of Natural and Applied Sciences while 152 are from the College of Business and Social Sciences with 22 graduating with First Class, 88 with Second Class Upper division, 83 with Second Class Lower division and 37 with Third Class.

The convocation lecture will be delivered by the former Vice Chancellor of the Covenant University owned by the Living Faith church in Otta, Ogun State, Prof Charles Ayo titled “Restructuring the Higher Education Delivery for Human Capital Development and National transformation”.
