COVID-19: Usain Bolt tests positive

The Jamaican media has reported that Usain Bolt was in isolation for testing positive for the coronavirus. This news comes a few days after the elaborate celebration of his 34th birthday, Daily Times gathered.

Usain didn’t confirm the result of the test himself but he implored anyone who has recently had any physical contact with him to self-isolate.

“I did a test on Saturday to leave (Jamaica) since I have work,” Bolt said in a video posted on Twitter. “I am attempting to be mindful so I am going to remain in and be sheltered.

“Likewise, I am having no side effects, I will isolate myself and look out for the affirmation to perceive what is the convention and to perceive how I approach isolating myself from the Ministry of Health.

“Up to that point, I will call my companions and let them know once they interacted with me to be sheltered, isolate, and relax,” said Bolt.

As indicated by the Jamaica Observer, health and welfare minister Christopher Tufton affirmed late on Monday that the eight-time Olympic victor had tried positive.

Jamaica’s Prime Minister Andrew Holness additionally said police are exploring the conditions encompassing Bolt’s birthday celebration.

“There are reports of an action identified with Usain Bolt,” Holness told a virtual news meeting.

“These issues are altogether being completely examined and the police will give a report on these issues in a not so distant future.”

Bolt last contended globally at the 2017 World Championships in London. He and his lover Kasi Bennet welcomed a daughter in May.
