Taraba state has recorded two more coronavirus cases plus the six earlier announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), bringing the number of infections in the state to eight.

Governor Darius Ishaku announced the confirmation of the two new cases of the dreaded disease through a press statement signed late Monday and issued to the media by his Senior Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu.
Governor Ishaku said the latest cases confirmed by the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) tested positive after a laboratory investigation.

“They are from among the people already being quarantined at the NYSC Orientation Camp, near Jalingo,” he said.
The Daily Times reports that Governor Ishaku had earlier in the day, made a statewide broadcast on six reported cases of the pandemic in the state.
