Court Dethrones Ibinabo As AGN President
The Federal High Court has nullified the election of Star actress and president of the Actor’s guild of Nigeria, (AGN), Ibinabo Fiberesima as president of the association.
In a suit filed by an actor named St. Maradona Mikevine, the presiding Judge, James Tsoho said the election that ushered the mother of 5 into office was conducted against a standing court order.
Mikevine was the National Treasurer while Emeka Ike was AGN president and had filed the suit to contest Ibinabo’s election as AGN president.
Court documents reveal that Mikevine approached the court seeking for the nullification of the election, saying it was conducted under a restring order from the court.
Ibinabo was on her second term as AGN president. Before she was removed, she was working on building a national Secretariat for the AGN in the FCT as well as a health and welfare of Nigerian actors
