Communities that have suffered series of attacks in Plateau State have partnered with the Special Military Taskforce (STF), for prompt response to better protect their lives during attacks by assailants.
The synergy was reached yesterday, during a town hall meeting held in Fan district of Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of the State.
The communities agreed to have the Special Task Force personnel placed at strategic locations leading into villages to repeal assailants.
Confirming the synergy, the Task Force Commander, Major General Augustine Chris Agundu said the prolonged conflicts between herders and farmers which have lasted for 18 years in the State, is no longer acceptable, therefore steps taken to win the hearts and minds of the affected communities for synergy to fight gunmen became necessary.
