Clergyman tasks youth on quality worship

Province Chairman , Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria Eti- Osa Province, Bishop Femi Soneye has extolled the performance of the youths in service to God, urging them to always show keen interest and dedication whenever the need arises. He said ‘we are on it together.’
He advised members to get their Permanent Voters’ Card and be ready to vote. “They must come out to vote and when they vote, they should stay back and make sure their votes count,” he noted.
He spoke at the maiden edition of the Youth Wing of the Pentecostal Fellowship Of Nigeria, PFN, Eti – Osa Province conference tagged: Atmosphere of Worship.
The conference which featured praises and dances was held at Miraclebreed Assembly, Eti – Osa, Local Government Area, Ajah-Lagos last Sunday.
The conference was aimed at bringing positive change that would reposition the body of Christ leadership.
The conference had attracted members across the province five – chapter to pray for peaceful coexistence among youths and the province leadership particularly, now general election is nearby.
Province Director of Youth Wing, Pastor Joel Obikoro stated that the mandate was as a result for the directorate to organise one day event, solely to worship God in a special manner.
According to him, ‘it was a beautiful day and a wonderful day.
It is a day we have decided to give God quality worship, as children of God, we recognised the place of worship.’
He said the only challenge was to get the five – chapter together to attend the conference.
Expressing displeasure over the low turnout, he however assured that in the next quarter the participation will be more adding that the theme, Let’s worship, came out of the curiosity of giving back to God, which without him the people amount to nothing.
On the need to encourage the youths spiritual life, the Senior Pastor of Purpose Redefined Christian Centre, Edwin Garba, expressed worries over the attitude of the congregants at the auditorium, particularly the youths. He charged them to be committed with the things of God.
Praying on the power of unity, he stressed that they were not better than those people admitted in the hospitals.
In attendance were Ochonogor Victor fondly called MC 2muchtalk, the knighted poet by name Duke, popular Charles Praise, Pamela from House on the Rock among others.
The Province Director of Good Governance and Politics, Benison Emohi, noted the day was wonderful and awesome considering the challenges, an event he said, the youths can only do better next time.
In his closing remark Obikoro advised the youths and youth leaders to be prayerful to succeed in a country like Nigeria.
Meanwhile, he charged them to remain thankful to God, as this is only way in attaining a peaceful election. “This forthcoming elections will bring transformation in every form,” he ended.
