Popular on air personality on classic fm Sylvester Ojigbede, popularly known as Sly is died. Sly hosted the morning show with Bulola and their show was one of the most popular breakfast shows in Lagos.
Sly died last night being the 3rd of May after suffering an illness connected to his spinal chord. He was survived by his wife and two children.
Sly was a talented broadcaster and his FrontPage analyses of national issues was what endeared him to his fans.
Sly anchored the Morning Show from 6am to 11am from Mondays to Thursdays and the Classic X-Press from 6am to 12pm on Saturdays.
He was born in the 70s and studied Economics in the University of Lagos. He once worked in an advertising firm before moving to the banking sector and then finally took to broadcasting.
This is what his friend, Tintin wrote about him;
“Sly … The hardest worker I have ever worked with, my protégée, co-host and adopted nephew… It’s nothing but smooth sailing now buddy! I’m hurting so bad, but at least I had the honor of seeing you in your final hours. Thank you for being such a good guy. Ciao Sly….Peaceful journey. RIP”
