Chimanama Rushworth-Moore golden heart for African Child

For Chimanama Rushworth-Moore, the plight on the condition of education in the grassroots is worth checking and through the Goldfish Initiative for illiteracy and poverty alleviation; the non-governmental organisation is calling on both the Federal and state government on the need to revisit the importance of grassroots education for children generally irrespective of their gender and family financial status.

She said through the NGO, we seek to urge the government on the need for proper re-structuring of the educational sector especially the grass root with reference to primary schools.

In addition, Chimanama Rushworth-Moore disclosed that after touring about eight states that includes Kwara, Lagos, Cross River, Ogun, Imo, Kano, Nasarawa and FCT in the last one year; the state that which some primary schools and pupils were found can only be described as devastating, heart-breaking and totally unhumanitarian which left her asking the question ‘ Is a child of a Farmer not a child’ Is a child of breaklayer not a child or Is a child of a pepper seller not a child? If we consider that all these children are equal; then there is an urgent dare need to restructure and raise the educational sector especially the primary school region in the grassroots area.

It is in this dare need that we also challenge the government on the need to monitor the authorities who are responsible for the disbursement of fund and audit of the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

Lending her voice also is veteran actress Remi Oshodi better known as Remi Surutu who added that the need for the every child to be educated should be paramount to every tiers of government at each level stating that she will in her own quota further preach the need via her acting skills and social media platforms.
