CD Constituted committee on Budget
The Campaign for Democracy CD says it has constituted a committee to monitor the implementation of the 2017 budget by Ministries Departments and Agencies.
CD has also directed all its state offices to set up similar committees to carryout the same asssignment.
Rising from its national executive council meeting held in Minna Niger state last weekend the body said such budget tracking would ensure the implementation of the budgets were devoid of corrupt practices.
In a communique made available to newsmen CD said the budgets have ” a lifeline of 95% implementation ,we will ensure this is practicalized”.
The communique jointly signed by Comrade Abdullahi Mohammed Jabi National Secretary General and Comrade Abdulwaheed Adeniran Vice President commended the biltrral agreement between the Lagos and Kebbi state governments in the area of agriculture saying the relationship has led to increase in rice production.
It said that other governors in the country should enter into such agreement to improve the economy of their States and the country as a whole.
” Embarking on such agreement will lead to wealth creation, job opportunities and reduce crime rate and criminality in the society”.
On the epileptic power supply in the country the communique asked the Power Holding Company of Nigeria “to justify the confidence reposed in it by Nigerians by making power available to Nigerians without interruption”.

The CD commended the Nigerian armed forces for taking back the Sambisa forest from Bokoharam members and asked it to bring insurgency to a permanent halt in all parts of the country.
