CBN MPC holds MPR at 14% for 7th consecutive session

Emefiele: Reducing interest rates may reverse the gains achieved in exchange rate stability and inflation rate reduction
The Central Bank of Nigeria Monetary Policy Committee (CBN MPC) for the 7th consecutive session has held all benchmark parameters
The CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele, in the just concluded MPC meeting, said the committee decided to hold the MPR at 14 percent, CRR at 22.5 percent, and Liquidity ratio at 30 percent on Tuesday.
The MPC also kept the Asymmetric corridor at +200 and -500 basis points.
