CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele flew his family to the UK with a private jet for N20M

The Central Bank Governor of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele is no guest to corruption allegations and administrative malpractice.
An investigation has revealed that the CBN governor had flaunted the state lockdown rules when he flew his wife, Margaret Emefiele and two sons, Godwin Pammichukwu Jnr. and Andrew Olisehike Emefiele on Dangote owned Executive Jet Services at the cost of $10,000 per hour rate – the flight took around 7.5 hours.

It is not uncommon to see Nigerian politicians and highly placed government officials flaunt the country’s law in a rascal display of impudence and nonchalant towards other Nigerians.

It is worth noting that Nigeria has been under lockdown for such a while and even inter-state travel is sill banned with many families complaining about the harsh impact of the lockdown.

Nigeria is one of the countries where the Government has not provided any sort of support or stimulus package for its citizens but big political office holders like the CBN governor can blow almost $80,000 on a single one way trip to get his family away from Nigeria into safety in the United Kingdom.

Most of Nigeria’s political appointees also hold dual Nationalities with another European country. We have been able to obtain the flight manifest (through Sahara Reporters).
