The Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria (CWO), Diocese of Jalingo, on Tuesday, donated some relief materials to the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Taraba.
Mrs Emelynda Fai, the Leader of the organisation, who presided over the donation at the Nukkai Primary School, Jalingo, called on the Federal Government to end the killings across the country.
Fai said that the donation was part of the organisation’s activities marking the celebration of the “Feast of the Assumption of Mary’’ which took place on Sept. 16.The items included foodstuffs, clothing, mats, and mosquito nets among others.
Fai, who decried the senseless killings across the country, encouraged the IDPs not to lose faith, but look up to God “the author and finisher of our faith’’.
She advised the IDPs to be consistent in prayers in the midst of affliction.
