Card Reader Will Prevent Polls Fraud, Says EU Chief Observer
The European Union Election Observers have said that the card reader machines being used by to accredit voters for the ongoing 2015 election is a good system that can prevent electoral fraud in Nigeria.
The EUEOM, Mr. Santiago Fisas gave the opinion in an interview with the Daily while observing the accreditation of voters in ward 027, Model Secondary School, Maitama, Abuja.
He, however, noted there was delay in the commencement of the process in some poling units in th FCT. According to the Mission, there were a number of instances where the card readers failed in scanning some thumb print.
