Cahill Wary of Gunners Title Ambition
Gary Cahill has warned Chelsea that they cannot afford any slip-ups in the closing stages of the Premier League season following Arsenal’s recent impressive form.
The Gunners moved up to second place in the Premier League table last weekend thanks to a thumping 4-1 win over Liverpool at Emirates Stadium.
The impressive victory over the Reds left the north London side seven points behind leaders Chelsea heading into the final seven games of the season.
And Chelsea defender Cahill has been impressed by what he has seen from Arsene Wenger’s men in recent weeks.
“I think it’s gone under the Radar, hasn’t it? I think how well they’ve done of late – they’ve crept up,” Cahill said. “They’ve gone about it quietly, they’re obviously in fantastic form.”
Arsenal travel to Burnley on Saturday afternoon before Chelsea take on Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road on Sunday.
The Blues beat Stoke City 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in their most recent top-flight outing.
Arsenal host Chelsea at Emirates Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday, April 26.
