CAH Consultancy floated to boost IGR-Director

Petitioners have alleged that a consultancy firm, CAH Consultancy Ltd, was involved in N500 million contract scam, spurring the Managing Director of the company, Alhaji Aliyasu Manu, to respond, saying the firm was established to boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of an Agricultural College in Plateau State.

The College known as Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, located in the community of Vom, in Plateau State Jos South, has suffered a financial set back leading to the infrastructural deficit, hence the establishment of a firm to help upgrade the institution, Manu said.

In response to the Minister, Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Abuja, dated 13th March 2020, Manu disparaged the faceless petitioners, debunking their claims that the company was involved in a deal leading to N500 million scam.

Our correspondent, who sighted the letter to the Minister on Thursday, reports that the petitioners would have been sponsored by detractors who do not understand the gains occasioned by the firm to ameliorate the deficit infrastructural decay of the institution.

The firm, CAH Consultancy Ltd, was also claimed by the accusers, to belong to a former Provost of the institution, Prof. Garba Sharubutu, an assertion, Mr. Manu said was ill-conceived.

“CAH consultancy LTD is a company floated by the federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology Vom and is the sole proprietor of the company. The aim of floating this company was to improve on the college’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR)”, he said.
