CAF Confed Cup: Da Rosa plots Nasarawa's fall

CS Constantine head coach Didier Gomes Da Rosa has vowed to knock Nasarawa United out of the CAF Confederation Cup, when the two sides meet in Algeria in the return leg of their round of 32 tie on Saturday.

The Nigerians labored to a 1-0 victory over the Algerians in the first leg in Abuja on Sunday, with Philip Azango scoring the winner four minutes from time.

But the former Coton Sport manager is adamant they will turn it around in front of their home crowd to advance to the next round of Africa’s second-tier club competition.

“Nasarawa will see our true colours and what football is about on Saturday,” Da Rosa warned.

“I am convinced that my players are desperate to make amends and show our opponents that they are facing a great CS Constantine side who will cruise to the next round.

“I am urging the fans to come in numbers to give us their support. And I know that the Stadium will be fully packed with 60,000 ‘Sanafir’.

“Victory must be ours.”

The game will kick off in Constantine at 19h00 CAT on Saturday, March 19.
