Bwacha donates utility vehicles to National Biotechnology Dev Agency

Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, representing Taraba South at the National Assembly has donated two 18-seater Toyota Homer Buses and one Toyota Hilux Van to the National Biotechnology Development Agency (Aquatic Bio-resources Training Centre), Tunare in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State.
Speaking at a ceremony held yesterday at Wukari Recreation Centre, Bwacha said the Vehicles were donated as part of his intervention projects with a view to empowering the Agency carry out its operations.
“I thought it wise to empower them by way of providing this mobility, these vehicles to enable them move around”, he said.
Senator Bwacha further said that the National Biotechnology Agency bill which has passed through second reading at the National Assembly fell under his watch as the Chairman, Senate Committee on Agriculture.
He added that majority of the projects going on at the National Biotechnology Centre, Tunare were done through his intervention Projects.
According to him, the sum of Two Hundred Million Naira has been appropriated for the construction of an Administrative block at the Agency in Tunare, pointing out that very soon, about Fifty Million Naira will be released to mobilize the Contractor.
Receiving the keys of the vehicles, the Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu who was represented by Christopher John advised the Coordinator of the Agency to make judicious use of the Vehicles as intended.
In his remarks, the zonal Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), represented by the Wukari Council Chairman who was also represented by the Wukari Local Government PDP Chairman, James Navoki extolled the gesture of Senator Bwacha.
