The Chairman of Bi-Courtney Limited, Dr. Bolanle Babalakin, (SAN), has expressed displeasure with the slow pace at which business grow in Nigeria.
He said this during the annual re-union conference lecture and award of N3.6m scholarships to 59 students organised by the University of Ife Muslim Graduate Association.
While speaking on the theme: “Challenges of Managing a Business in Nigeria: The Islamic Options”, the entrepreneur noted that Nigeria had no business.
He highlighted the challenges of business in the country as population, electricity, taxes and corruption among others.
He said: “We are still at the very rudimentary level of business but after thirty years, I had expected that we would be at a very higher level; involved with businesses that can transform the lives of our people, expand our horizon. We should be doing petty trading and other business activities at high level now.”
