Buhari’s government is uplifting ordinary people from poverty -Taraba APC chieftain

A chieftain of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Taraba State, Dr Sam Skebrah Bulus Timothy has said that the current administration is making legendary impacts in the life and economy of ordinary people who were neglected by previous governments.
Dr Timothy who’s a staunch promoter of President Muhammadu Buhari in Taraba State spoke when he received an Hounorary doctorate degree from Petrus Fidei University in Lanexa, Virginia USA.
He said the social investment programme of the Buhari administration is antidote to fighting poverty and bridging the wide gap between the rich and the ordinary Nigerians who constitutes the larger population of the country.
Timothy who is also a peace ambassador for Good Governance said that this is the first time in the history of this country that the economy is adjusting to the reality of meeting the needs of ordinary Nigerians.
“Government programmes under President Buhari have shown the level corruption has deprived the ordinary Nigerians. For the first time, we see what a people centered government should look like. How resources should be used for the ordinary people, President Buhari has shown that Africa can walk out of poverty if resources are channeled appropriately to the people.”
The representative of the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Archbishop Sunday Uahomo in his speech, describe Dr Timothy as a versatile and hard working accounting professional with extensive experience in academic and administration in the United Kingdom (UK) and Nigeria.
He said the University decided to honour Dr Timothy based on his contribution to the field of accounting and corporate governance.
On his part, Alhaji Ibrahim Modibbo a seasoned politician and a renowned journalist who chaired the occasion, urge Nigerians to promote national unity and peaceful co-existence.
Also a former Attorney General in Kaduna State and chairman Mega Veteran Handball Association of Nigeria, Mr. Mark Jacob told the recipient to take these awards as a challenge and not just a mere celebration.
He advised him to do the needful for his community, Taraba and Nigeria, because the unity of the country lay in the hands of people like Dr Timothy.
