Buhari visits Imo on Monday

President Mohammadu Buhari is expected in Owerri, thé Imo State capital on Monday, December 5, 2016 to declare  open the Chief of Army Staff conference

Against the backdrop of this development, the State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, has appealed to the people of the State not to panic over the unusual presence of Soldiers in Owerri and its environs.

The military would be in Owerri to brainstorm on the way forward for the Nigerian Army and the nation.

It should be recalled that the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 82 Division Enugu, General Ibrahim Attahiru, had earlier visited the State to meet with Governor Okorocha over the conference and also informed that the Army Headquarters had chosen Owerri, because it provides a very ambient atmosphere for such Conference.

General Attahiru also informed that more than 460 officers of the Nigeria Army would participate in the Conference.
