Buhari Sweeps Shagari LGA

All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, swept Shagari Local Government Area, in a landslide victory, over the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan.
Shagari Local Government Area had a total registered voters of 61,344 and 38,715 of the total registered were accredited to vote. A total of 26,696 representing 70.1percent of the votes of the accredited voters, voted for APC presidential candidate, while the PDP presidential candidate scored 6,396 representing 16.5 percent of the accredited votes in the local government. The remaining 13.3 percent of the votes were shared amongst the other presidential candidates.
