Buhari in Osun, seeks support for APC guber candidate, Oyetola

The people of Osun State on Tuesday stood still for the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) just as President Muhammadu Buhari urged the residents of the state to vote massively for the APC and its governorship flag bearer, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola during Saturday’s governorship election in the state.

There were people who wore aso ebi to the occasion while some others wore T- shirt designed with APC logo with Oyetola photograph on it.

The Osogbo Township Stadium, venue of the rally, was filled up with supporters and lovers of Oyetola, whom they were singing praises of as God sent.

President Muhammadu Buhari, who described Oyetola as the best man for the job, advised Osun residents to remain in the league of progressive states of Ogun, Lagos, Oyo, Ondo and Ekiti which has just joined the Progressive train.

He said Oyetola is the only credible candidate that can continue with the good work started by Governor Rauf Aregbesola eight years ago, saying the September 22 election affords the electorate the opportunity to continue with their destinies for the good in APC-led administration.

He said God has brought a blessed man, who is Gboyega Oyetola, adding that he will do Osun State a lot of good if elected governor and bring more development to their door steps.

The President said, “On September 22, don’t look back or side way, just look forward to a good future ahead of you by voting for Oyetola.

APC is a party of progress. Let us vote for the APC in this election. APC will help Osun to develop more because no other political party can guarantee such development.”

Buhari and other APC leaders spoke in Osogbo on Tuesday during the official presentation of the APC governorship flag to Oyetola for the September 22 election.

The National Chairman of the APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomohle, while addressing the people, urged them to come out in their large number and vote for Oyetola and Alabi, who he described, as a team that would take Osun State higher if given the opportunity to serve.

Oshiomhole said, “You have tested the APC and you have known that it is the best party to vote for in Saturday election. Oyetola is the best man for the job. He will do Osun proud and restore honour and dignity to your state”.

Welcoming the President and other APC leaders to the state, the APC Chairman in Osun State, Prince Adegboyega Famodun, assured that nobody will be discriminated against in the state before, during and after the governorship polls if the party is voted into office.
