Buhari, Governors meet over increase in food prices

President Muhmmadu Buhari is presently meeting with some critical stakeholders with regard to the increasing wave of rising food prices in the country.

The stakeholders, who are state governors, are members of the National Food Security Council.

Daily Times gathered that the meeting is holding inside the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Also in attendance include the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha; National Security Adviser, Major General Babagana Monguno (retd.); and some ministers among others.

Governors attending the meeting are Atiku Bagudu of Kebbi State, who is also the Vice Chairman of the council; Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State; Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa; Simon Lalong of Plateau; Darius Ishaku of Taraba; and Dave Umahi of Ebonyi.
