Breaking: Senator Buruji Kashamu buried as crowd shun Covid-19 protocol

Remains of Senator Buruju Kashamu, have been buried at his Ijebu-Igbo country home.

Daily Times reports that Kashamu died on Saturday, August 8, at age 62.

The late senator died as a result of COVID-19 complications.

According to the Nation, he was buried at around 12:55 pm on Sunday.

Present at the funeral service, Ogun Governor Dapo Abiodun bidded the politician a tearful farewell.

Sympathisers shunned COVID-19 protocols during the burial with many of them struggling to have a good view of the funeral activities.

Buruji Kashamu was a Nigerian politician who served as a Senator representing Ogun East in the 8th National Assembly.
