Breaking: Premier League picks Guardian’s David Pemsel as new chief
The Premier League has announced David Pemsel as its new Chief Executive, ending a difficult and lengthy search to find a new leader for one of the biggest competitions in world sport.
David Pemsel is currently the chief executive of Guardian Media Group, owner of the The Guardian and The Observer newspapers.
Pemsel was unanimously voted on Wednesday by the 20 member clubs of English football’s top division.
