BREAKING NEWS: Lagos announces date for reopening of churches, mosques

#EndSARS: No other protest will be tolerated — Lagos govt.

Executive governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has announced that worship centres across the state will reopen on the 7th of August.

Following the outbreak of the coronavirus disease, Worship centres across the state have remained closed since March despite reversals by other states to reopen worship venues.

This has especially been in view of the serious population density in Lagos which has resultantly seen it record the highest number of COVID-19 cases.

The Lagos state governor had earlier released guidelines for reopening of worship centres a few weeks ago, but reverted the decision having weighed the consequences more critically.

It appears the state government will now sanction reopening of worship venues, which is expected to follow prescribed guidelines.
