Breaking: Immigration suspends processing of Passports, Migrant e-Registration

Following the current outbreak and spread of the dreaded Coronavirus otherwise known as COVID-19, the Comptroller General, Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, has ordered the temporary suspension of processing of passport and Migrant e-Registration.

According to a statement signed by the Service Public Relations Officer, Sunday James, the suspension is effective March 23through April 23, in line with government’s directives on restrictions on International Flight.

The Comptroller General said that the Service will take advantage of this period to “process all pending passport cases and that the public will be informed when they are ready for collection.

“The Service regrets any inconvenience caused the general public within this period while assuring Nigerians of our continued service.” He said
