Breaking: Buhari secures freedom for 500 inmates in Kano

President Muhammadu Buhari has secured freedom for 500 inmates from Kano State central prison Kurmawa on Wednesday.

The president, who is in the state for an official visit, is expected to commission major projects completed by the Ganduje administration.

Granting the inmates presidential pardon, Buhari admonished them to see the opportunity as a second chance to make things right.

The president also gave an undisclosed amount of money to the inmates to start up business which they learnt while in prison as part of skill acquisition programmes introduced by the state government for the inmates.
