Breaking: Barcelona player tests positive for COVID-19

A member of the Barcelona senior team has tested positive for COVID-19, the club has announced.
The Spanish giants however refused to disclose the identity of the affected player.
According to the club, nine of their players returned on Tuesday and they had their tests and medical checks on Wednesday ahead of Thursday training as they have just returned from their respective loan spells.
“After the PCR tests carried out yesterday Tuesday afternoon to the group of nine players who today have to start pre-season, one of them has tested positive for Covid-19,” the club said in a statement.
“The affected person is asymptomatic, is in good health and is isolated at home”
Barcelona face Bayern Munich on Friday in a much anticipated quarter-final clash. Quique Setien’s men will now look to restructure the squad as they head to Lisbon to face the German giants.
