Boko Haram Kill 10 Persons, Aged Woman, 62, Abduct 5 Children In Borno

No fewer than 10 persons including an aged woman and a female househelp have been confirmed dead in a recent attack in Kofa town in Borno State by Boko Haram members while 5 children were also reportedly kidnapped on January 29th.

The incident, it was gathered, started at about 1pm in the afternoon as the gun wielding Boko Haram members in their numbers rode on motorbikes and fired sporadic gunshots into the air .

Local residents immediately scampered for safety as the Boko Haram members set houses ablaze in Kofa town in Konduga local government area of Borno State.

8 persons living in the community were shot dead by the Boko-Haram insurgents who moved from house to house killing their targets.

The victims include Ibrahim Sule, Tanko Idris, Jelili Mohammed, Hameed Danladi.

Others are Ahmed Ganduje, Jamiu Idris, Hannatu Bello and Kabiru Ibrahim

Also an aged woman 62-years Juliana Ajayi was ruthlesly slaughtered along with Precious a female househelp in her grandson’s house in Kofa community as others escaped with injuries .

Also during the operation which lasted over 1 hour during which distress messages were sent to security agencies but no help in sight, 5 children were also reportedly abducted in the process by the Boko Haram members .

The 5 children who were abducted include Yunusa Ibrahim, Peter Fadoro, Sule Braimah, Fatima Yisa and Aishat Bande.

Of the 5 children that were kidnapped by the Boko Haram members on January 29th are 3 males and 2 females.
