Boko Haram: Ganduje installs CCTV to secure Kano metropolis

In a bid to secure the state from the invasion of Boko Haram terrorists, the governor of Kano State, Umar Ganduje has installed Closed-circuit television (CCTV) in the state metropolis.

This was made known on Monday, September 7 by the special Adviser to the governor on media, Salihu Tanko Yakasai.

Daily Times reports that Yakassai who revealed this on his Facebook page, said, “Despite Kano being the most peaceful State in Nig for the last 5yrs (Alhamdulillah), H.E Dr AbdullahiOFR is not relenting in his effort to further secure the state.

”As his admin has installed CCTV around the metropolis with a control centre at police HQ to be commissioned soon. Aiki dai Baba.”

The presidency had reacted to the revelation by the Nigeria Customs Service, that Boko Haram terrorists are planning to bomb the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nasarawa and Kogi states.

Presidential aide, Garba Shehu, said that the Customs boss, Col. Hamid Ali (Rtd), has already alerted and drawn the attention of those concerned to certain discoveries of security nature.
