Bishop advises politicians to be cautious with power

Ahead of 2019 general elections, the Anglican Bishop of Otukpo Diocese, Rev. David Bello has cautioned politicians not to be power drunk, as it portends danger for them.

Bishop Bello added that, majority of political office seekers in the country are only contesting for power to enrich themselves and their family members.

The Anglican Bishop stated this on Friday as a special church service heralding the 75th birthday of Alake and Paramount Ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo held at the Cathedral Church of St. Peter, Ake, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The Bishop whose sermon was drawn from the book of Psalm 103, stressed that, political offices should be seen as service to humanity and not an avenue to acquire wealth.
