Bindow deserves second term- APC leadership

The National leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has assured the governor of Adamawa State, Senator Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla Bindow of its support considering the rapid transformation of the state within two years in office.
The North East national vice chairman of the party, Comrade Mustafa Salihu, who stated this when he led a delegation of party stalwarts to Government House in Yola, explained that the party is working in consultation with Governor Jibrilla in relation to political issues in the state.
Comrade Salihu said the Federal Government under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari has done much in ensuring peace and security of the nation especially in the North East region.
Giving details of contributions of members of the National Assembly from Adamawa State, member representing Fufore and Song in the House of Representatives, Hon Sadiq Dasin, said one of their achievements at the legislature is the establishment of North East Development Commission among other things.
Responding, Sen Muhammad Umaru Jibrilla said his administration has constructed 276 rural and urban roads, while renovation of hospitals and schools as part of emergency policy of the state government have been completed, with few of them in progress.
The governor said his administration is fair to all people of the state and advocated for the return of all elected representatives on the platform of APC to consolidate on the gains achieved.
He asked for forgiveness from politicians who feel offended by his administration’s policies of development and appealed to them to join him in the task of transforming the state for the benefit of all.
Sen Jibrilla also stated that the executive and legislative arm of government in the state have a cordial working relationship adding that the state is peaceful.
He thanked the people of the state for their support and reiterated his commitment to continue to provide development to the people of the state.
In a remark, Secretary to the State Government, Dr Umar Buba Bindir, briefed the delegation on the dilapidated infrastructure inherited by the Bindow-led administration, emphasising that the effort of the present administration has led to great improvement in internally generated revenue which is now put at six hundred million naira monthly.
