Bindow is blind to religious bigotry -NCPC

The Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrims Commission (NCPC), Rev Dr. Uja Tor Uja, has described the Adamawa State Governor, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrila Bindow as blind to religious bigotry.

Uja said this on Tuesday while presenting an award to the governor at a dinner and award night ceremony in Abuja. He gave a good score card to the governor for his attention in handling the affairs of Christians in the state.

According to him, the reason for choosing Governor Bindow for the award is as a result of how he renders all the needed support and makes sure that Christian pilgrims are safe and happy while in the holy land.

“That is why we are honouring him tonight with the Pilgrim Governor of the year award by Nigeria Christian Pilgrims Commission,” Uja said

In addition to that award which is in the category of Outstanding Support to Pilgrims Award, Adamawa State was also awarded with the “Best Behaved State Continent Award” in the category of Pilgrimage Support State.

Principal Special Assistant to the Adamawa State Governor, Abubakar Hamman (Habu Wadu), who received the awards on behalf of the Bindow and people of Adamawa State, told journalists in an interview that this kind gesture will embolden the governor to do more for Christian pilgrims.

He said Governor Bindow has compassion for the people of the state and will continue to provide basic infrastructure in line with campaign promises and social contract with the people.
