Biafra not solution to Nigeria’s problems- Nwokedi

The continued agitation for a state of Biafra by the Independent people’s of Biafra (IPOB), may not solve the numerous challenges bedeviling the Igbo ethnic group, rather differences and disagreement between the Igbo and other ethnic groups should be resolved amicably for the unity of the country.
This was the view of the president general of Igbo social cultural group, Ndi Igbo Buru Otu, Chief Chika Nwokedi in a chat with newsmen after being conferred with an award for his contribution and service to humanity by the Voice out Nigeria News Management.
Nwokedi who is a former Chairman of Ladipo Market, frowned at the agitation for division of the country, stressing that secession may not guarantee good governance, adding that there could still be complaints of marginalisation within the tribal groups if the country was divided.

He said “dividing the country is not the way forward, if there is disagreement between the Igbo and other tribes let settle it amicably among ourselves, l believe in one Nigeria.
“Even where they are going there may still be complaints of marginalisation among themselves.
“I have said it before, if Buhari is not fit to rule let him resign from office, corruption is our major problem in this country. Nigeria is rich; it is those at the top that are siphoning the money. That is what is responsible for the poverty in our society.”
“Those that kill by the sword would die by the sword; I believe God would apprehend the killers.” Nwokedi Said.
Speaking further, the philanthropists reaffirmed his determination to continue to help the less privileged in the society, adding that the award was a motivation.
He lamented the alarming poverty rate among Nigerians, while identifying corruption among the ruling class as the problem, adding that few individuals were siphoning the wealth of the country.
