Beneficiaries Commend Goldberg’s Isedowo Initiative in Ekiti

The beneficiaries of Isedowo in Ado Ekiti, Ekiti state, have commended Goldberg, a product of Nigerian Breweries, for the empowerment initiative which recently offered grants of N300, 000 each to 22 entrepreneurs to support their businesses.

The entrepreneurs are those with brilliant ideas selected after audition and screening by judges in Ekiti and among the 100 participants Goldberg will support with N300, 000 through Isedowo across the Southwest states of Osun, Ekiti, Ondo, Oyo and Ogun.
Bolatito Eunice, a caterer and one of the beneficiaries, said she was grateful to Goldberg for empowering her to enhance her business. “I never knew my business idea would be selected, and l am delighted that my dream of becoming a successful small scale entrepreneur has come true. Goldberg’s Isedowo is worthy of emulation,” she stated.

Akinola Taiwo, another beneficiary of the scheme affirmed that the grant would go a long way in boosting his business. “l have been praying for an opportunity like this and Goldberg has relieved me of my challenges. Isedowo is laudable and the brand has actually surpassed others through this,” he said.

Other artisans which included motor mechanics, tailors, caterers, carpenters, makeup artists, electricians and an artist also commended Goldberg for assisting them with funds to boost their businesses.

Commenting on Isedowo, the Portfolio Manager, Mainstream Lager and Stout brands, Nigerian Breweries Plc, Mr. Emmanuel Agu, said “Goldberg would, through the scheme, extend its affinity with the people of the Southwest beyond culture and tradition to entrepreneurship.” That way, he added, “it would have positioned itself as an empowerment platform that shares the aspirations of the people.”

To benefit from the initiative, interested participants are expected to showcase their business ideas and how they impact the society.

The initiative, which was launched last month by the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, in his palace, has received wide commendation from prominent monarchs in the Southwest.

Known for its leading role in promoting culture and tradition, Goldberg through Isedowo has deepened its connection with the people of the South-west by supporting their economic aspirations.

The scheme which has so far supported artisans in Osun and Ekiti states will also activate in other Southwestern states in the coming weeks.
