Bayern Munich to extend Philippe Coutinho’s loan deal

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich will extend Philippe Countinho’s loan deal until the end of the season.

The deal to extend the loan beyond June 30 was agreed after talks on Wednesday, according to Sky Germany.

The deal would mean that Coutinho will be eligible when Bayern’s Champions League campaign restarts in August where they are slated to take on Chelsea FC for a slot in the last 8.

Coutinho, who has scored eight goals in 22 Bundesliga appearances this season, is back in full training after minor ankle surgery but Bayern has not taken up their option to make his loan permanent.

The player, however, is not in Barcelona FC with the Laliga giants ready to listen to offers for a player they signed from Liverpool for £145m three years ago.

Chelsea is one of the clubs said to be interested in Coutinho with the player’s agent Kia Joorabchian admitting that his client would “love” to come back to the Premier League.
