Bandits kill 4 in Southern Kaduna

Armed bandits have reportedly killed a Woman, three Men and injured one other Woman in an attack in Jema’a local government area of the Southern part of Kaduna.

A report made available to journalists on Tuesday by the State Internal Security and Home Affairs commissioner Mr. Samuel Aruwan explained that the security reports said the deadly attack occurred in the Goska community in Jema’a LG area of the state last night.

According to the reports, the armed bandits invaded the community and killed four residents, identified as Wakili Kon, Yusuf Joshua, Martha
Ayuba, and Lami Peter respectively.

The statement added that Wakili Kon and Yusuf Joshua were attacked and killed on their farms by the assailants, while a woman, Laraba Silas, sustained gunshot injuries and was rushed to hospital.

It stated that Governor Nasir El-Rufai expressed sadness at the reports, and prayed for the repose of the souls of the residents who were brutally killed by the bandits.

The Governor sent his condolences to their families, and wished the injured citizen a quick recovery.

The commissioner stated that Security patrols are ongoing in the general area, alongside investigations into the attack.
