Awards that garnered international prestige and fame

Several major international awards make the news every year such as the Nobel Prizes, the Oscars, and more. These international awards are from different fields with the prize money offered by different countries and organisations.

Nevertheless, over the years, they have garnered international prestige and fame.

While we are in the business of iconic awards and we think all of our designs are showstoppers, there are several that stand out. You recognize them, you know them, and you see them on the television. Here, we will dive into one of the awards and describe a little bit about it.

Each year, the JOM Charity presents the JOM Charity Award to an individual, organization, or company whose works and deeds have served to improve the quality of our lives and have inspired us to greater heights. This award is given in the name of the founder Josephine Oboh-Macleod (JOM)

JOM Charity Award for excellence recognizes people who are widely known for a consistent, stable character distinguished by honesty, zeal for truth, integrity, love and devotion to humanity, and a self-giving spirit.

The awardee must be an outstanding example and model to emulate for a life dedicated to a nobler, more righteous, and more productive way for the human to live as an individual on this earth. The awardee must be well known for professional excellence and has demonstrated professional dedication by giving professional skills freely, and without desire for personal gain or aggrandizement, to those in this world who cannot otherwise, physically and financially, receive them. The founder normally presents this award during the Annual yearly events Ceremony.

Criteria

The purpose of the JOM Charity Award is to recognize an individual or organization/company that has made an impact that has led to major humanitarian or public benefits or positive effects.

How The Award was established/ History

In 2016 a committee of different organizations led by Josephine Oboh-Macleod was formed to create a way to recognize and promote the value of community service. That year JOM Charity Awards was established as an annual tribute to recognize and encourage individuals/organizations that address the social needs of the community.

JOM Charity Awards was Founded in 2017, the award has established itself as the ultimate accolade in the art culture fair trade community heritage science, human rights and environment, industries, etc recognized globally as a symbol of excellence, the award ceremony celebrates, outstanding achievement in various categories, including art media politics, technology Literary, etc the awards is not only a prestigious honor it is also a testament of an individual organization away on wavering dedication to excellence.

The first award was given in 2018 at JOM Charity, Art and Cultural Center in Glasgow, Scotland in 2019 it was done at the Hidden Lane Gallery and The Glasgow Academy, Schools Glasgow, Scotland, and in 2020 and 2021 it was done virtually because of the COVID-19 lockdown, the participants including the general public, members of the Nigeria community Scotland, and also an artist from Africa, and Nigerians participated in the award ceremony.

In 2021 the award was given at the FraserCenterr in Milngavie Glasgow Scotland an event hosted by JOM Charity and funded by The National Lottery Community fund.
