ATMA honours deserving transport sector stakeholders

Anambra State Traffic Management Agency (ATMA) on December 7 honoured 15 top stakeholders in the transport sector in the state.
According to ATMA, this is in recognition of their sterling contributions towards improvements of the sector.
The honours list includes some prominent transport operators like Chief Chris Anyaegbu of Chisco Group of Companies and Chief Godwin Okeke of GUO Group.

Others are Eloka Egbunike of Locus Excell Concept Ltd., Chief Uchenna Egboluche of Goodness and Mercy Mass Transit and Mr. Evergreen Chukwuemeka Ofozoba of Evergreen Omambala Line.
The rest are Mr. Nnamdi Okafor, President Driver’s Union Association (UDWAAS), Mr. Andrew CC Kumapayi, Anambra State Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and Ojeme Igbireh Ewhrudjakpor, Deputy Corps Marshall.
Others stakeholders honoured are Chief Boniface Ebutu, Mr. Edward Obiefuna Ibuzo, representing Onitsha North 1, Chief Agustine Oguejiofor, Mr. Patrick Agha-Mba, Onitsha North LGA Chairman, Prince Ik Tabansi, and Dr. Innocent Chukwuma of Innoson Group of Companies.
This is first award of its kind in the state. The event was held during a seminar with theme: “Drive Right and Save Time’’, at ATMA base office, Agu Awka.

The awards were presented to them by the Anambra State Commissioner for Transport, Dr. Christian Madubuko, and Managing Director, ATMA, Mr. Patrick Obiefuna.
The commissioner enjoined Ndi Anambra, particularly commercial buses drivers and other road users to contribute in one way or another toward to ensuring free flow of traffic, especially during the Yuletide season.
He urged Ndi Anambra to emulate the awardees for having contributed greatly toward tackling challenges facing free traffic flow in the state.
