Atiku in Delta, says still consulting Obasanjo on 2019

Former Vice President and presidential hopeful for 2019, election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on Tuesday in Asaba told said he was still consulting with Chief Olusegun Obasanjo on ways to achieving his ambition of becoming the president of Nigeria come 2019.
Atiku who recently decamped from the All Progressive Congress (APC), to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has come under continued criticisms by many Nigerians who allegedly described him as unserious politician.
But Atiku in a swift reaction said “what I am doing at present is consultations with local leaders across the country to see how we can revamp the destroyed economy by the present administration.
When we are voted into office, we will repair the destroyed economy that has brought tears, hunger and unending killings of our innocent brothers and sisters, especially in the Northern States.
The situation right now, is precarious, and it’s only the PDP leaders across the country that will help to strengthen our country”.
On why he dumped APC for PDP, the Turaki Adamawa said “I am not regretting my decision making because I know I will rule Nigeria come 2019. Nobody can stop me.
What some people are doing is cheap blackmails, am not a thief, and I will not be because I fear Allah a lot. What I have come to do in Delta state is to sensitise my people to support my aspirations of becoming the president of Nigeria”.
Atiku assured the people of his immense contributions to strengthen Nigeria’ s economy with a view to ensuing peaceful coexistence among different ethnic groups across the country, adding that “all hands must be on deck to ensuing peaceful coexistence among different ethnic groups”.
Lamenting the continued killings in four States, Benue, Jos, Abakaliki, and Maiduguri, the presidential hopeful said “this is clear that President Buhari has failed in all areas.
So what is he doing there? When we are voted into office, all these would be corrected. Nigeria at present is almost desolate; it is unfortunate in the country called Nigeria, many things have gone wrong, but we must do our best to justify why PDP leaders insist on taking over the country.
Obasanjo, people say he will support me, is my boss, and we are seriously talking, and very soon, we will reach a conclusion. He is a boss I respect so much, and so those who vowed it can’t work, will be disappointed, I shall be the president of Nigeria come 2019”.
He said that APC as a party cannot deceive Nigerians again, adding that “how can APC think by changing its slogan, Nigerians will suddenly forget that in the last three years of its administration, the nation has not witnessed the change it promised.
Atiku alleged that the essence of Oshiomhole’s emergence as president Muhammad Buhari’ s sole candidate was to frustrate other would be presidential aspirants of APC extraction, and hand the party’s ticket to Buhari, adding “with the outcome of the Saturday’s convention, the APC has kissed internal democracy goodbye in selection of its candidates at all Levels of national leadership”.
The unity Hall in old Government House was filled to the brims with who is who in PDP in the state.
Governor of Delta State, Dr, Ifeanyi Okowa expressed satisfaction with the present development in the party’s leadership and assured his willingness to be part of the successes likely to be recorded in 2019, and called on those who dumped the party in the state to as a matter of urgency return for unity and prosperity of the PDP.
