ASUU storms Ambode office, protests victimisation of colleagues at LASU

Members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Friday stormed Lagos Governor’s office to protest victimisation of three of their colleagues at the Lagos State University (LASU) and urged the Governor, a visitor to the institution to set up a visitation panel on the alleged plan by the management to unjustly terminate the appointment of the three of its members at LASU.
The Protesters who trooped into the Lagos seat of power in their hundreds carrying placards with various inscriptions such as “Dr. Fagbohun is a political professor,” “Gov. Ambode set up a visitation panel for LASU now”, “Fagbohun is a packaged Professor”, “ASUU is for peace and justice” among others.
Speaking, the leader of the protesting lecturers, Professor Sowande Olusiji who is the zonal coordinator of ASUU gave the names of the affected ASUU-LASU members as Dr Tony Dansu, Dr Adeolu Oyekan and Dr Oluwafemi Aboderin-Shonibare.
