Assembly election: I am not intimidated by big parties – ADP Candidate

The African Democratic Congress (ADP) state Assembly candidate for Uhonmwode constituency, Mr Austine Osaghae, has said that the age of a political party rather than negatively affect voter confidence enhances its acceptability and capacity to win elections. Osaghae was responding to questions about being intimidated by the presence of candidates of older political parties like the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and All Progressives Congress (APC) in the scheduled state Assembly elections. He said, “I am not intimidated at all because the APC as AC and later ACN was actually founded in 2014, before it went on to field candidates who contested and won the general election in 2015.

“What is important is my position as a candidate, my experience and what I am bringing to the table. Some years ago, I mooted the idea of a fruit juice factory in Ehor, the local council headquarters. Appealing to the people of Uhunmwode to be wise in choosing their next state legislator, Mr Osaghae insisted that the party to beat in the March 2, 2019 elections into the state Houses of Assembly across the country is the ADP.
