Ashworth tasks Sunshine on hard work

Sunshine Stars head coach, Paul Ashworth, whose team’s pedigree will come under test when they play away against Giwa FC this Sunday has charged his players to keep working hard and pay attention to details as the season progresses.

The Owena Waves have taken four points out of six in their opening two matches including a 2-1 win over newly-promoted Gabros, but Ashworth is not carried away by their performance so far.

The Englishman though happy with the team’s impressive start so far, told the players to “keep working hard and pay attention to details.”

“Yes we are happy with the progress so far but that is not to say that we are nearing perfection. We need to keep working hard and pay attention to details in our overall thinking and how we do things on the pitch, working hard all the time to regain possession as quickly as possible and take the right decision at the right time,” he said.

Ashworth who doubles as the technical head of the Ondo State Football Agency manages Sunshine Stars, Rising Stars and Sunshine Queens.
