Arsenal plot raid on Slattery

Arsenal are plotting another raid on Southampton – this time for promising midfielder Callum Slattery.

Having already snapped up Callum Chambers and constantly linked with Morgan Schneiderlin in recent months, the Gunners are now keen on taking the England U-16 international to the Emirates, according to reports.

This is on top of also plucking Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from the south coast club over the years.

However, any move for Slattery is likely to be countered by Bayern Munich, who are also keen on the player and are understood to be ready to test Saints’ resolve in the summer.
