Arsenal, Man United join Napoli in Osimhen chase

Top English Premier League sides, Arsenal FC and Manchester United have entered the fray in the chase for Lille of France, Nigerian forward, Victor Osimhen. Before now, Italian side Napoli, has shown the strongest of interest in the Super Eagles point man.

Osimhen himself and his advisers have repeatedly said they were not in a hurry for a big club move and will only make a decision that will ensure a better future for the youth prodigy.

The entrance of the Premier League duo will now strengthen the player’s resolve not to rush into any deal just yet. Arsenal have a rich tradition of weaning youthful players, even from its academy or buying them raw and turning them into superstars.

Current Manager, Mikel Arteta, has continued the tradition laid by veteran Manager, Arsene Wenger. He might be in pole position to snap up the talented goals scorer.

Also, Manchester United have since the arrival of Ole Gunner Solksjar as Manager rely more and more on positive youth programmes that has been churning out stars. Brightening Osimhen chances to become an Old Trafford player.

Osimhen has already visited Naples city, where many thought he was going to put pen to paper for Seria A side, Napoli FC, but he held on after talks with the club’s management. Club sides from Spain, France and even Turkey are also said to be interested in the fleet footed Nigerian striker
