APC Youths Attack Imo APGA Guber Candidate’S House

The Imo State All Progressive Congress (APC) youths, numbering over 700. On Tuesady, attacked the Owerri residence of Capt. Emmanuel Ihenacho, the governorship candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Imo.

The APC youths had been protesting the declaration of the April 11 governorship election in the state as inconclusive, urging INEC to declare Governor RochasOkorocha as the winner of the election.

The protesting youths had marched to the Imo International Convention Centre (IICC), on Bank Road, after being addressed by Okorocha, who called for calm, when they sighted APGA protesters at the warehouse junction calling for the total cancellation of the said election on the grounds of violence and wanton malpractices.

The demonstrating APC youths who were chanting war songs threatened to cause a major crisis, if Okorochawas not declared winner by INEC.
