APC Confident of Winning August 8 Osun Governorship Poll, Says Chieftain
The All Progressives Congress in Osun State has declared its readiness to win the upcoming August 8 governorship election.
Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, a party chieftain, credited the achievements of President Bola Tinubu for boosting the party’s electoral chances.
Oyintiloye addressed journalists in Osogbo on Sunday. He explained that the track record of APC governors and the legacy of the party’s previous administration in Osun will help their candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, secure the seat.
He pointed out that the ruling party is becoming more attractive to politicians across the state. He used the recent defection of five federal lawmakers from the Peoples Democratic Party and other platforms to the APC as proof of their impending success at the polls.
According to him, the people of Osun want good governance and are prepared to vote the APC back into power.
Oyintiloye described Oyebamiji as a competent and reliable leader who will keep his promises to the citizens.
He also commended the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, for holding the party structure together and making it welcoming to new members from the opposition.
He advised voters to ignore smear campaigns from rival parties. He assured them that the APC candidate is focused on rescuing the state and bringing sustainable growth.
He invited other opposition members to join the APC, adding that the party has enough room to accommodate everyone.
