‎APC Chairman: We will ensure free, fair credible Elections

‎Nantawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All-Progressives Congress (APC), has assured Nigerians of its commitment to ensuring free, fair and credible elections across the country.

‎Yilwatda made this known, while receiving supporters of the APC candidate for Bwari Area Council, Shekwolo Haruna, on a solidarity visit at the party’s National Secretariat, Buhari House, Abuja on Thursday.

‎The APC Chairman, represented by his Chief of Staff, Alh Mustafa Bala-Dawaki, stated that the 2026 Abuja Councils election would further showcase the party as Nigeria’s first choice political party.

‎‎”This party remains resolute in ensuring that free and fair elections are conducted in all positions in this country. Therefore, we will continue to maintain fairness.

“We commend you for coming to the party headquartes, to show your solidarity to the party, and we remain resolute in ensuring fairness in all elections,” he stated.

In his speech, leader of the group and Director General of the New Bwari Frontiers, Comrade Kenneth Chima said the visit was aimed at countering misrepresentation of facts, regarding the party’s primary elections in the council.

‎According to Chima, some party members have allegedly, attempted to impose ‘fake delegates’ during the primaries, but said the APC Appeal Committee upheld petitions of the ‘authentic delegates,’ resulting in Haruna’s confirmation as candidate.

Accusing some opposition party members of trying to infiltrate the APC through the back door, he said: “If truly they claimed they won, they should name the 33 delegates that voted for them.

He also insisted that “Haruna remains the choice of the people, the grassroots members.”

‎The group commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the APC National Chairman, and the National Working Committee, NWC, for what they described as fairness in handling the dispute.
