The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won 17 seats of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, while the governing Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won four, according the result of last Saturday’s gubernatorial, State House of
Assembly and House of Representatives elections.
Other results released showed that Malam-Madori Kaugama Federal Constituency was won by APC candidate, Nasir Garba Kaugama with 741,810 votes. The result of Dutse/Kiyawa Federal House of Representatives showed that Ibrahim Abdullahi Dutse of the APC won with 59,645 votes, beating his opponents, Mr. Tijjani Gaya of the PDP, who scored 47,335 votes.
Also released was Birnin-Kudu/Buji Federal Constituency, where Magaji Da’u
Aliyu of the APC won with 57,816 votes beating his rival Ali Tukur Gantsa of the PDP, who won 46,993 votes
